Tenacity.

Juan Parras of Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Services (Houston) guided our class and faculty through the East End of Houston (Magnolia & Harrisburg area) to show us the concentration of industrial and waste management site adjacent to or near largely Latino communities. Below is a picture of tenacity – a man refusing to sell out to the encroaching Valero refinery. So, I guess we know who was here first?
